DEEP ROOTS IN ST. LOUIS PARK
Four Generations.
My grandfather, Harvey J. McPhee, was the first generation of our family to live in St. Louis Park.
He worked for the City of St. Louis Park for 35 years, serving as the Director of Public Health.
His leadership and example has inspired me to be active in creating and maintaining a strong community that is an excellent place to live.
My mother, Mary G. McClendon (McPhee) (far right), was the next generation to live in and also attend SLP public schools.
She is a 1975 SLP graduate and went to serve in the army for 3 years.
She returned to SLP in February 1987 with her three daughters and has resided in SLP ever since. One of her main reasons for returning to Park was "because of the schools".
